June 11, 2008: Longitudinal Feedback Commissioning at Duke FEL

Longitudinal feedback system installed at OK-4 Storage Ring FEL Longitudinal feedback system has been successfully commissioned at Duke OK-4 Storage Ring FEL. The system consists of iGp-64F baseband processor and FBE-178L longitudinal front/back end. The system has been tested at different beam energies ranging from 240 to 470 MeV. System operation has been verified with a number of bunch filling patterns at beam currents up to 120 mA.

System installation shown in the photo includes iGp-64F, FBE-178L, and Milmega AS0102-200 power amplifier.
